Danica is a published children's book illustrator and experienced art tutor. She studied a Bachelors in Fine Art in 2014 and a Masters in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art in 2020. In 2018 she moved to the UK and has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and art tutor ever since.
Danica works largely with mixed media, combining handmade layers digitally to achieve a screen print inspired artwork. She also works widely with watercolours and has a personal sketc hbook practice as well as practices life drawing regularly. Her aim is to create art that tells stories of unique childhood memories, to connect with the reader emotionally and celebrate real life stories.
Danica is represented by Illo Agency worldwide except India for illustration work only.
She has worked with Oxford University Press, Penguin Random House, Little Bee Books, Michael O Mara Books and the Historic Royal Palaces. Aside from private art courses Danica also teaches at the Abingdon and Witney College to provide community courses in drawing and painting, watercolour and children's book illustration.
